Mark your calendars for August 22, 2025!
We’re excited to announce the 33rd Annual Day of Caring—a day dedicated to making a lasting impact in Allen County. Please save the date and stay tuned for more details!
What is Day of Caring?
In 2024, more than 1,500 volunteers safely took part in 72 community service projects across Allen County. These Day of Caring projects involved tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, painting, and general maintenance. Each project took between four and eight hours to complete, with team sizes ranging from five to 100 volunteers.
The work benefited nonprofit organizations, schools, private residences recommended by NeighborLink, local trails, and other community spaces in need.

“Most of our team had never participated in Day of Caring, so they weren't sure what to expect. Several of them came up to me at the end of the day and told me what a great day it was for them. This is after working all day pulling weeds and hauling mulch. Several of them were excited to learn about landscaping techniques and how to use tools.”
