United Way of Allen County Priority Area Grants
United Way of Allen County exists to boldly impact critical community issues. In July 2022, we launched our community impact model, focusing on four priority areas: Educational Opportunities, Food Security, Housing Stability, and Mental Health Access. These priorities were established through a comprehensive analysis, including community conversations, a statistically valid survey, input from community leaders, experts, and individuals with lived experience.
In the past year, United Way of Allen County invested over $1.5 million into the community through grants, strategic initiatives, and partnerships. We remain dedicated to funding these efforts through a strategic investment process called our Priority Area Grants. These grants, awarded annually, target specific needs within our community. We believe our four priority areas directly address the most pressing challenges faced by Allen County, and by incorporating them into our mission, we can collaborate with our community partners to create sustainable, impactful programs.
United Way of Allen County offers annual grants to support projects and programs that align with our strategic priority areas:
-
Food Distribution – Increasing access to essential food for households in need
-
Housing Financial Assistance – Strengthening housing stability in the community
-
Mental Health Access – Enhancing mental health services and support for individuals
- Shelter Services – Supporting the transition from shelters to permanent housing solutions
