United Way partners with FWCS students to paint Born Learning Trail

May 30, 2023

FORT WAYNE, Ind (WFFT)— United Way has partnered with FWCS art students to give them another way to express their voice while giving back to the community.

They are painting the Born Learning Trail.

Chief director of development Amanda Davis says it makes education for the entire family.

“It is to promote those healthy learning habits with families… get families interacting together and doing things that are fun and encourage learning,” Davis said.

The trail gives younger kids learning opportunities that are suited for their age.

It encourages interaction with their families.

There are ten different learning stations on the trail

The entire project was done by FWCS art students from all grade levels.

“They have created the artwork and they came out last week. They are finishing today. They came up with design that matches each of the signs and they will finish the artwork,” Davis said.

The activities include learning different sounds and playing games like hopscotch together. All stations include different ways to be and learn.

For more information about the trail or how you can get involved you can go to United Way of Allen County.
