100 Year Celebration Photo Gallery
On Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 United Way of Allen County celebrated its 100th Birthday with a Community Awards Banquet at the Embassy Theatre followed by a Gala at the Grand Wayne Center. Alyssa Ivanson with WANE TV Emceed both events, awards were presented to community partners, and two Keynotes were delivered by Austin Hatch and Tamika Catchings.
United Way of Allen County would like to thank our 40+ sponsors, 330+ attendees, numerous donors and volunteers, and board members who all made the event possible. With the support of the community we were able to raise more than $135,000. Starlight Photography captured the celebration.

We all face adversity everyday, but there’s no obstacle we can’t overcome if we work together. Learn how to apply the G.R.I.T. framework within your school, church, organization or company to empower your team to achieve your goals.
Keynote Speaker
Tamika Catchings
Indiana’s “do-everything” forward completed 16 seasons in the WNBA, stepping away from her future-hall-of-fame-career following the 2016 season. Her naming as recipient of the very first ESPN Humanitarian Award in 2015 and a 14-year run of community service by her Catch The Stars Foundation are testament to her work off the court, however – more impactful than her MVP career on the court.
“At Ambassador, we believe in creating lasting, positive impact in our community. For 100 years, United Way of Allen County has been doing this by looking at the communities’ needs and working with their partners to make our community better. We celebrate the work they have done and the work to come in making a positive impact in our community for the next 100 years.”
