United Way of Allen County takes achievement and community impact seriously.

Going above and beyond for our community makes you a game-changer. It is our privilege to work, play, collaborate, and fight alongside you. Every year, United Way of Allen County honors local organizations that further their mission to boldly impact critical community issues.

We are proud to announce our 2022/2023 awardees are…

Fort Wayne Metals

United Way of Allen County’s highest award is the Spirit of Giving Award, which recognizes a company that exemplifies what it means to LIVE UNITED. This company consistently gives back to the community it serves and fosters an environment of philanthropy within its organization.

Fort Wayne Metals ran an exemplary workplace campaign in 2022. Each year the company makes a video highlighting United Way, a committee is used to run the campaign, and leadership is very supportive. A 1:1 corporate match is provided for employee gifts, and Fort Wayne Metal’s increased their campaign in 2022 by more than 50%.

Regal Rexnord

This award is presented to an organization that goes above and beyond in donating to one of United Way of Allen County’s specific causes or projects.

Each year during our Kindergarten Countdown program, we hold a backpack drive. Backpacks are given to students filled with schools supplies for the year. Regal Rexnord employees have participated in this drive for four years and have donated more than 400 backpacks.

Scott Hoffman

This award recognizes an individual who is going above and beyond for their community.

Scott is a committed Committee Chair and Board member, and a champion of United Way in the community and within his workplace, Mejier. He continually provides volunteer resources as well as items for events and advocates for United Way and our programs.

East Allen County Schools & Fort Wayne Community Schools

Collaboration is what United Way is all about. Working with local organizations to make an impact for our community is an important part of the work United Way of Allen County does every day.

For the last 10 years, United Way has partnered with East Allen County Schools & Fort Wayne Community Schools to offer our Kindergarten Countdown program, impacting over 1,000 children in our community. This four-week summer program provides high-quality instruction and activities that build readiness skills in incoming kindergarten students. We could not make the impact we do without the generous help of our partners.

DWD CPAs & Advisors

This award recognizes a company with less than 100 employees that runs an outstanding workplace campaign.

DWD is a longtime partner and runs a successful best practice campaign, allowing United Way the opportunity to speak with employees and share the impact being made in the community.

This award recognizes a company with 101-500 employees that runs and outstanding workplace campaign.

3Rivers continues to be an outstanding company partner with employee and corporate giving increasing each year, with the last 2 years raising more than $100,000 from employees.

BFGoodrich & USW 715

This award recognizes a company with more than 500 employees that runs an outstanding workplace campaign. BFGoodrich raised the most in donations than any other workplace campaign in 2022.

United Way provides a streamlined approach to giving that ensures maximum impact in funding the programs and services that make Allen County a great place to live, work, and play. Receiving this recognition shows that running a great campaign is a journey, not a destination.
