Quality early childhood education is an important step in equiping our Allen County children with the tools they need to enter kindergarten ready to learn. Paths to QualityTM, Indiana’s Child Care Quality Rating and Improvement System, is a voluntary system that providers can enroll in to rate the care being provided by their program. Providers are ranked on a four level system, with each level building on the previous one.
Paths to Quality Levels
- Level One: Health and safety needs of children met.
- Level Two: Environment supports children’s learning.
- Level Three: Planned curriculum guides child development and school readiness.
- Level Four: National accreditation (the highest indicator of quality) is achieved.
