Paths to Quality™
Paths to QUALITY™, Indiana’s Child Care Quality Rating and Improvement System, is a voluntary system that providers can enroll in to rate the care being provided by their program. Providers are ranked on a four-level system, with each level building on the previous one.
Paths to QUALITY™ Levels
Level One: Health and safety needs of children met.
Level Two: Environment supports children’s learning.
Level Three: Planned curriculum guides child development and school readiness.
Level Four: National accreditation (the highest indicator of quality) is achieved.
Paths to QUALITY™ Grants
NOW OPEN: January 13 - February 10
In an effort to improve the quality of education and childcare to the families of Allen County, United Way of Allen County is once again offering the Paths to QUALITY™ Grant (PTQ) to early childcare programs. This grant is for childcare programs who work with children ages 0-5 to pursue, advance, or maintain a level on Paths to QUALITY™. United Way is providing $25,000 to be given out in grants ranging up to $5,000 to local programs. The deadline to apply is February 10, 2020. This year we will be focusing on programs at lower levels who serve infants and toddlers. However, this does not exclude anyone from applying and we would encourage everyone to apply. Please complete the grant application and budget application and send to United Way at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are NOT currently on PTQ, but are beginning the process, you may still apply. Please attach a Voluntary Certification Program checklist to your application signed by your Paths to QUALITY™ coach or home licensing checklist.
Whether your application is accepted or not, you will receive notice by the week of February 17, 2020.
