The United Way of Allen County and the Northeast Indiana Central Labor Chapter will be offering a series of six free community education classes to those interested in learning about resources available in the community. The classes will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning on Feb. 2 and continuing until March 29. March 8 Elder Law: The Volunteer Lawyers Program of Northeast Indiana helps provide equal access to the civil justice system for those limited by income.  Location: Family and Community Engagement Center, 230 E. Douglas Avenue

March 22 Fort Wayne Rescue Mission: Providing services in downtown for more than 100 years, the Rescue Mission is about to embark on an expansion that will enable them to continue to reach the city’s homeless population. Learn about the types of homelessness and the Rescue Mission meets those needs through its various ministries.  Location: 301 W. Superior St.
