Individuals interested in learning about everything from smart budgeting tips to refinancing a loan to filing for foreclosure should visit this year's MONEY SMART FAIR, Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the City-County Building Rotunda, One E. Main St. During the MONEY SMART FAIR, a list of financial literacy workshops will be announced. The workshops will be offered by local non-profits, government and businesses and will be held October 16 – 23, 2010.
Attendance at the MONEY SMART FAIR is completely free. Participants will be given punch cards to be used when visiting the various educational booths. The punch cards will be turned in for a drawing for door prizes. Parking is available in the City-County Building parking lot; the City of Fort Wayne will provide free parking to any individuals who complete the Money Fair punch card and survey. Money Smart Fair is organized by the Financial Stability Partnership, a group of non-profit organizations, government and local businesses interested in helping area residents become more financially stable. The Money Smart Fair is held in conjunction with the national Money Smart Week, organized by the Federal Reserve Bank.
