What We Do

Elevator Speech
United Way of Allen County brings the community together to assess needs; secure resources such as money, materials and people; and invest those resources to improve the lives of all people in Allen County.

United Way funds programs and supports initiatives in three critical areas: Basic Needs, Family Stability and Success in School. Funded services help support the most basic needs of local residents, help families live productive and economically stable lives and provide children and youth with quality opportunities for social and academic growth.

United Way accomplishes its goals by asking people to LIVE UNITED – to Give, Advocate and Volunteer. LIVE UNITED is a way of life, a belief that every individual has a responsibility to help others and to make our community a better place. LIVE UNITED is about taking our shared values and turning them into action in order to build a stronger Allen County.

Vision
United Way of Allen County envisions a caring community working together to improve the lives of all people.

Mission
United Way of Allen County will positively impact the community by working together to understand needs, secure resources and strategically invest those resources to improve the lives of all people in Allen County.
