Women's Initiative
Mission
The Women’s Initiative, formed in 2006, is furthering United Way’s mission by creating a powerful network of women philanthropists to address identified issues through leadership, fundraising and advocacy.
Core Values
The Women's Initiative core values are integrity, impact, volunteerism, inclusiveness and leadership.
Focus Area
The Women's Initiative area of focus is closing the reading achievement gap by the third grade.
Goals:
Act
to address identified community issues;
Support
existing efforts that address community issues; and
Mentor
future women philanthropists.
How to Join
To become a United Way of Allen County Women’s Initiative member, you can be an existing donor to UW at the $500 or more level and share all the benefits of membership.
New donors may join by giving at the $500 or more level.
Student memberships are offered for a donation of $100.
Co-chairs of the Women's Initiative are Chris Rupp and Kris Foate.
